GREAT SATAN MEETS AXIS OF EVIL
When pundits said there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics, many people thought they were joking. But here is a clear proof of the statement: George Bush has sent emissaries to meet Iranian delegation to talk about the insurgency in Iraq. Of course he resisted this move for the past three years but eventually The Gates report and the rising dissenting voices of the American people made him to change his mind.
Bush it was who described Iran and North Korea as the axis of evil simply because they disagreed with the his government on their nuclear intentions. Of course it was a white house speech writer who coined the phrase and Bush only voiced it out in a speech. But right from day one the phrase sparked off resentment in the EU because of its religious undertones. Who was Bush to declare evil and good in the commity of nations?
Well Bush has apparently swallowed or eaten his words as his aides talked and shook hands with delegates from the axis of evil. Iranians must have been chuckling to themselves at this turn of events. Newpapers around the world had a field day as they came out with screaming headlines like "Great Satan Sits Down With the Axis of Evil" by The Times of London etc.
Above picture shows the US Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Qomi or shall I say Bush and Ahmedinejad.
